Vrbje is a municipality with a population of 720. It was firs mentioned in 1752 and in that time it was, together with Resetar, the biggest place in this area. St Josip's church was built in 1773. The place is not far from Nova Gradiska, on the Staro Petrovo Selo-Davor road. In 1991, during the war, this area was ruthlessly devastated by the Cetniks, together with nearby villages Mackovci and Krasic. With a help of German Bavaria, its been renovated. The new road from Mackovci to Davor has been built.
