South Canebiere Travel Guide

South Canebière is the area immediately south of La Canebière. It is a very seedy district, often crowded by prostitutes. The highlight of this area, however, is Musée Cantini, which is considered the city’s most important art museum. The Musée Cantini features Surrealist and Fauvist works by Matisse, Picasso, Miró, Ernst, Léger, Giacometti, and Corbusier among others.
