Lousy Management

After going to this restaurant for years our family has decided we can no longer go there.
We were there for dinner last night and had great service and the food was terriffic. The problem occurred when we left and my stepson realized he had to use the bathroom before the long drive home ( ~ half hour). Although the place was nearly full, they were locking the door behind people in preparation for closing. When my stepson asked to use the bathroom, they refused to let him in. Mind you, people were streaming out this whole time and he could easily have slipped past and used the rest room. My wife asked to see the manager and was kept waiting for 10 minutes because she was "on the phone". Manager Tamara came and refused to let the boy step into the foyer and use the rest room. The place was approximately half full and people were standing in the foyer watching the manager tell us the usual litany of excuses used by people paralyzed from the neck up: " It's company policy....I could lose my job...etc" We reminded her that we spent over a hundred dollars a few minutes before and she is refusing to let a boy step back in to use the restroom. No go. We assured her we would never use their restaurant again and would spread the word among our friends. Her response was to the effect of " I understand but this is company policy".
Nice attitude for someone in the service industry. After giving my wife her card she stalked back inside with carrying the glow of the self-rightous, even though she was acting counter to her company's best interests.
My wife has been trying to contact the general manager this morning and has been getting repeatedly dropped during the call transfer or just hung up on. They didn't get her name yesterday so this must be a reflection of how inept they actually are.
We will never go back and many of our friends and family will join our boycott in support.
