Melrose Avenue Travel Guide

The Melrose Avenue district sits outside of Rodeo Drive and south of Hollywood. It is a busy shopping zone with several independent chains and retailers. Melrose was once an eccentric haven of junk emporiums, seedy shops, perverse novelty stores, and tarot-reading joints, but has been replaced by designer boutiques, restaurants, and beauty salons. The further west along Melrose, the increasingly mainstream it becomes as it approaches West Hollywood. The shops become more chic, pricey, and elite.[1]
