Well, if you are going here at present you should be part of some ISAF, OEF force or a civilian aid worker with a strong will to help people.

The conditions in some of the villages are very harsh on it´s citizens and everything you can do to help is appreciated.

The people of this northern province is very open and welcoming.
They will without a doubt open up their home to perfect strangers and share with you what they have.
That on the other hand might not be much.
Around CNL the locals have started to collect the shellcasings after livefires to sell the brass as scrap metall.
They scrounge by and most will probably make it due to the efforts of a few.

IF you are going there anytime soon you need to watch out for ambushes, IED,s and agitators that infiltrate the villages when there is no troop presence.
They can be very dangerous if you don´t have the right support with you.
ie: A smaller armed force.

The ISAF personel are however breaking their backs to make it possible for the aid workers to do their job and return safely to their homes.

Travel safe.
