In the "heart of the town," Mulligan's is exactly what you're looking for after a day of skiing or snowboarding at nearby Stratton or Bromley. I had peppercorn encrusted Sirloin ($15, and I mention this because I come from NY and you're lucky to get a hot dog for that much in NY), and it was perfectly cooked, extremely juicy, and a prime cut of meat. We also had the french dip; the roast beef was fresh and juicy. The bread was perfectly crunchy on the outside. It was a delicious, inexpensive, and homey. |

The reason why I love to stay in Manchester is because it is only 20 minutes from Stratton Mountain which boasts the best skiing in Vermont. Also Manchester has a variety of popular outlet stores with some great discounts on name brands. Don't forget to eat at the Rooster Cafe which has the best pancakes I ever tasted. |
