Tenement Museum - The Best!

I conduct <a href="http://www.familyinnewyork.com&quo York tours</a>. Periodically, I take indivduals and groups to the Tenement Museum. It gets extremely high marks from all. The guides are all expert and passionate about what they do. Their approach of educating guests by telling the story of a family that lived in the building puts a face on the immigrant and tenement experience. The museums also has an excellent selection of books and other education materials for all ages. I think that this should be the next stop, after a visit to the immigration museum at Ellis Island. A real New York gem!
