Kleinburg Travel Guide

Kleinburg is a small village located in Vaughan, Ontario between two divides of the Humber River, and surrounded by dense forests. It was founded by a German Canadian settler by the name of Kleinburg and started out as a flour and wheat mill town.

This small, quiet town attracts wealthy visitors and residents, with homes in the area reaching upwards of one million dollars. The main attraction of Kleinburg is the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, which is a major art gallery featuring art work from contemporary Canadian artists like Maurice Cullen, Emily Carr, David Milne, among others.

Another highlight of Kleinburg is the annual Binder Twine festival held the Saturday after Labour Day. It is an agricultural celebration of music, crafts, and entertainment that draws 25,000 people each year.
