I went to this hotel in August, 2007. I paid in advance for two nights.
As one of the reviewer said, it looked impressive from outside. However, it
was disappointing inside. First of all, the floors are all wooden which
keep you away from any peace. We went to our rooms and the rooms were
pretty disappointing as well. I paid almost 4500 for two nights and this
is what I found inside: 1) Room was extremely cold as outside temperature
was about 10 degrees and there were no good windows. Needless to say,
no heating inside. The bedclothes were kind of wet and very cold. I was
able to survive that night because of something that happened which I
will tell you below but my friends as they stayed inside bed clothes
got ill with very high fever. 2)As I said something happened with me so here
it is: There was a group of young people that night in the hotel. They were
making hell lot of a noise. I went down (reception) about 11:00PM so
that they know something is going on. The guy at reception told me he is
going to do something about it. The real thing was, I requested him 6-7 times
but nothing really happened and I was not able to sleep. I can tell you
I have never faced this kind of expereince in my life before. I guess, as i was
in and out whole night I did not get ill and survived. 3)In the name of hot
water, hotel had given a tap of hot water. It was not coming in shower or in
basin. In 2200Rs you don't expect this kind of things. In fact, during the
trip I had some hotels just in 1000Rs and they had at least hot water
in shower. 4) Because my friends got ill, we had to leave the hotel
next day because she said she is going to die in this hotel. When
we were checking out, the hotel manage told us that we will loose 50%
cancellation charges for our 1 remaining day. I said OK and they said
money will be back in my bank account within 5 working days. Well, this
is the worst part of the story as they never returned the money. I spent
almost 500Rs on phone call and what they told me everytime was "Please
give us your phone number and we'll get back to you". Nobody got back and I
lost 500 more. The hotel is bad, the staff is worse and the manager
or whoever he is a cheater.
