Ah, the holiday...
 Gracac is a municipality with a population of 3500 at an elevation of 560 meters with the river Otuca, the famous river which disappears underground, flowing through it. It is situated on the main road from Plitvicka jezera (Plitvice Lakes) to Zadar. This is a road junction from which the road leads in the directions of Gospic, Knin Donji Lapac and Obrovac. Magnificent ruins of the 13th century citadels Knezevica, Rakovik and Zvonimir-grad are situated near Gracac.
Gracac was first mentioned in 1302. It was once a Japodic and Celtic settlement. The railroad line Zagreb-Split passes through the place. Several enterprises are located here. Fishing and hunting grounds exist in the area. Construction engineer Turina discovered the exquisite Cerovac-ka pecina (Cerovac cave) during in Lika.
Prehistoric Japodic ceramics have been found in this cave, situated near the Kesici hamlet, 5 km south of Gradacac. Two of the caves are partly adapted for visitors. Motel "Cero-vacka pecina" is located in front of the cave.
