Cabourg Travel Guide

Cabourg

Cabourg is a luxury resort-town in the Floral Coast of French Normandy. The town is known as the most intellectual of the resort towns in Normandy. This reputation comes from its cultivation of the memories of the 20th century French novelist, Marcel Proust. He was one of the town’s earliest visitors and described Cabourg in his novels by the name of “Balbec”.[1] While Cabourg is a small town, it explodes ten-folds in the summer months. In June, in particular, it hosts the International Film Festival of the Romantic Movie.[2]
